A native of Suffolk, Virginia, Dr. Robertson joined Watson Eye Associates in January of 1998.

Dr. Robertson's academic accomplishments are many. After completing an internship in internal medicine at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, Dr. Robertson served a two-year tour of duty as a general medical officer with the Marines in Okinawa, Japan.

As a resident of the Navy's nationally recognized ophthalmology program at the National Naval Medical Center, Dr. Robertson was trained by experts in all subspecialty areas of ophthalmology, including rotations at the National Eye Institutes of Health and the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology. At the Naval Hospital, Jacksonville, Florida, and later at the prestigious Florida Eye Clinic, Dr. Robertson was recognized as an accomplished surgeon, clinician, and teacher.

Dr. Robertson is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. His professional interests include medical and surgical management of diseases of the anterior segment, diseases of the retina, pediatric ophthalmology and reconstructive surgery.

On a personal side, Dr. Robertson's interests are fishing, enjoying the beach, golfing, running, weight lifting, gardening, and bonsai. He and his wife, Lisa, have two sons, Brandon and Eric.
