A native of Suffolk, Virginia, Dr. Robertson joined Watson Eye Associates in January of 1998. Dr. Robertson's academic accomplishments are many. After completing an internship in internal medicine at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, Dr. Robertson served a two-year tour of duty as a general medical officer with the Marines in Okinawa, Japan.

As a resident of the Navy's nationally recognized ophthalmology program at the National Naval Medical Center, Dr. Robertson was trained by experts in all subspecialty areas of ophthalmology, including rotations at the National Eye Institutes of Health and the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology. At the Naval Hospital, Jacksonville, Florida, and later at the prestigious Florida Eye Clinic, Dr. Robertson was recognized as an accomplished surgeon, clinician, and teacher.

Dr. Robertson is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He practices general medical and surgical Opthalmology, with special interests in cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, anterior segment disease and pediatric ophthalmology.

On a personal side, Dr. Robertson's interests are fishing, enjoying the beach, golfing, running, weight lifting, gardening, and bonsai. He and his wife, Lisa, have two sons, Brandon and Eric.
