Dr. High earned her B.A.
degree in Math from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Her graduate work was done at NC State University in Raleigh. In 1980,
she completed Optometry School at Pennsylvania College, a member of Beta
Sigma Kappa and the International Optometric Honor Fraternity. She is a member of the
American Optometric Association, NC Optometric Society and Northeastern and
Eastern Optometric Society. Prior to joining Watson Eye
Associates, PA, Dr. High was in solo practice as Family Eye Care where she
specialized in contact lenses and diagnostic and treatment of ocular
diseases. Dr. High and her husband, Dr.
Bill Deans have three sons, John, Richard and David. They are active
in youth activities at First United Methodist Church. She is a
volunteer and tutor at the public schools her sons attend.
A native of Rocky Mount, Dr. High began practicing optometry with her
father, Dr. John High in 1980.
